Who Is In Charge?
Just in from morning inspiration – Tara Rayburn
For My Friends Who Practice Their Faith … To all with ears to hear, eyes to see and a heart to receive.
So, Who is in charge? #notrhetorical
Seriously, Who is REALLY in charge?
If you do believe this do you understand sweet friend that we are not God?
Who ever wins this election, is NOT God?

We don’t get to decide who lives and dies.

We don’t get to control the circumstances around us.

We don’t have a reliable earthly source telling us truth and what is to come.
What DO We Have?

We have a God who so loves us. (John 3:16)

We have faith practices/habits to offer us strength and endurance. (Ten Commandments)

We have brothers and sisters in faith to share encouragement with. (Matthew 18: 20)

We have REAL truth to seek that spans nations, politics and abolishes hate. (John 13: 34-35)

We have an eternal promise if we choose to accept it. (John 3: 16-18, Ephesians 1: 7)
So What Can We Do? (Deuteronomy 5)

Have no other Gods before Him – love Him with all your being.

Do not create idols – Nothing stands before Him.

Respect His holy name.

Keep a Holy Day.

Honor your father and mother.

Don’t Kill – Support life.

Don’t Cheat – Honor your commitments.

Don’t Steal – don’t take what isn’t yours.

Don’t Lie – be honest with and about others.

Don’t Envy – Be grateful for what you have.
ABOVE ALL…
”A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13: 34-35
Does this sound easy?
Hmmm, post these where you can see them and see just how many times a day these themes come up for you and in our world.
ELECTION PRAYER
Lord, Thank you for loving us. Thank you for giving us ways to remain faithful in this volatile world. Thank you for giving us a roadmap for our character when so many agendas are vying for power. There are so many unknowns for us, but You know the truth and what ultimately matters.
Above all, WE PRAY that YOUR Will be done this day and all days. Help us to trust You and Honor You with our thoughts and actions in these times and beyond. We pray for peace in the process and love in our hearts.
– Amen
